Prison Ministry
Those living with the effects of unresolved traumas in our prisons can experience powerful healing when God’s love is in the room. We offer inmates an opportunity to see the core of their true self and begin to heal where it is needed most.
We take our Heart Skills and Hearts for Heroes classes into the prisons to help incarcerated Veterans, along with incarcerated civilian men and women alike.
Each class is tailor made to the attendees every time, in order to ensure relevance and connectivity to the individuals. It constantly morphs and is intentionally fluid in structure.
We serve the men’s and women’s units teaching how to use one’s pain along with God’s love in order to save themselves. The goal is to ‘teach men to fish’ so to speak, so we aim to equip them with the understanding and skills to better manage the effects of their past traumas. God is love, and we are unconditional love as he modeled us to be. Through our classes we help those who have been living in the dark to access that love and step out into the light.
Currently we are affiliated with Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and serve the designated Veteran’s dorm at their HH Cofield Unit.
